Come join in the fun at the 3rd Annual Alma Greens on June 30th. You will enjoy the newly redesigned course at the Alma Aquatics Park. The course now starts at the top level by the newly built pavilion, 9 "open" holes, that is if you consider throwing along a 50 foot out of bounds cliff open, but not to worry, there's finally an off the cliff tee on the new #5, just watch out for the steep hill that your throwing next to, the back 9 has 2 newly constructed holes to make a tightly wooded accuracy back 9. This is a PDGA Sanctioned "C" Tier Tournament and a Arkansas PDGA State Coordinator USDGC Series event. For more info check out the flyer, you may also register and post on our Forum to ask or discuss any questions. This event has a rich history of fun and awesome payouts, don't miss it!! |

Here we go folks,It looks as if we're gonna see some serious tournament action with a dual sanctioned event. Both the PDGA and Southern Nationals are going to be a part of this 1 day event. The WILDCAT OPEN will see players from every area in Arkansas and more than likely surrounding states as well.Sponsorship is being worked on as well as the already challenging Cedar Glades Disc Golf Course. I am also very excited to announce that this event will also be one of our United States Disc Golf Championships Qualifyers. With Hot Springs being #4 of the series for the 2007 spot, This race for the USDGC Spot has become very interesting. |

Tilles Park was cold but full of disc golfers on February 10th. A total of 51 players played the original historic 9 hole layout twice in the morning for an 18 hole round followed by an afternoon 9 hole "safari - alternate tee" layout. The cold 35 degree morning round was made easier thanks to the Community Services Clearinghouse's Back the Pack Concessions selling hot drinks and food.... |

The Ice Bowl is for all those disc golfers gutsy, crazy, or fun-loving enough to join together in an act of disc golf solidarity around the world. Regardless of the weather conditions, the idea is to have fun, raise funds and food for local charities, and dispel the gloom of winter. WAFDA is proud to host the 2007 Fort Smith Ice Bowl, bringing it home to historic Tilles Park on Saturday, February 10, 2007. This is a charity tournament benefitting the Community Services Clearinghouse which is a local food bank, they are partnering with us to make lunch available for the tourney for a nominal fee. First 50 entries will recieve a Custom Ice Bowl Disc along with other "freebies". Top third in each division will recieve a traditional payout along with a trophy for 1st in each division. Look for some very fun field events and contests along with mulligans being available also. Rain, snow or sunshine this is going to be an awesome time to be had by all, just remember: NO WIMPS, NO WHINERS!! For more info check out the flyer or contact Evan McKee (479)522-9036 |
